Instructions for FYP Thesis Softcopy Preparation and Submission

All thesis materials are to
be prepared using
Microsoft Word for
Windows. The format of the
thesis must be
strictly adhered to. Please
click
here to view the
format.

All figures must be
scanned in. These include
pictures and information
taken out of catalogs,
brochures, books, etc. Links
to graphs and diagrams are
not acceptable.

The material submitted to
the BTech office should be
an exact electronic version
of the hardcopy submission.
No items found inside the
hardcopy submission can be
omitted in the softcopy
version. Do not
submit additional items
(e.g. programs) requested by
the supervisors in the
softcopy version. They are
to be handed to the
supervisors separately.

All the individual Word
files must be
compressed into a single
file using the Winzip
program. The compressed file
should be named according to
the project code (e.g.
P-2000-013.zip)

The compressed file must
be uploaded online at the
BTech homepage under the
respective disciplines
(Mechanical & Manufacturing
Engineering etc.). Remember
to upload only the
compressed file with maximum
4MB. If file size exceeds 4
MB, student will have to
burn it onto a CDR and
submit to BTech Office and
it will then be uploaded
manually by BTech Office.

Upload only the final
amended thesis. Do not
upload the thesis meant for
examination.

There are deadlines for
submissions of the softbound
(to supervisor and examiner
prior to the presentation)
and softcopy (upload to
BTech website). Failure to
meet this deadline may
result in the delay in
conferment of your degree.
